After his term as party leader, Iain Duncan Smith established the Centre for Social Justice in 2004 and was appointed Chairman of the Social Justice Policy Group.       Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE 

      Susan Greenfield is Professor of Pharmacology at Oxford University, a neuroscientist, writer, and broadcaster. She has been awarded 30 Honorary Degrees from British and foreign universities and heads a multi-disciplinary research group exploring novel brain mechanisms linked to neurodegenerative diseases such Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. In addition, she has published a neuroscientific theory of consciousness,'The Private Life of the Brain' (2003) and developed a keen interest in the impact of modern technologies on how young people think and feel.       Michael studied Psychology at Cambridge and Clinical Psychology in Oxfordshire. He held an assistant psychology post in an adult day hospital in South Wales, and after qualifying worked in South Warwickshire before moving to Liverpool and starting work for Alder Hey. Michael completed his Diploma in Family Therapy at Leeds University and more recently has been trained in the CARE Index by PO Svanberg and Attachment and Psychopathology by Pat Crittenden.       Amanda Jones is Consultant Perinatal Psychotherapist and head of North East London NHS Foundation Trust’s tier 3 Perinatal Parent Infant Mental Health Service and honorary associate professor, Warwick Medical School. Amanda has been heavily involved in many aspects of Perinatal issues, including doctoral research at the Tavistock/ UEL, the channel 4 documentary ‘Help me love my baby’ and a series of documentaries in partnership with the NSPCC and Warwick Medical School titled ‘Breakdown or Breakthrough: pregnancy, birth and the first 18 months of life’.

These are children and young people who experience significant psychosocial difficulties because their parent is unable to function as a caring adult. The lack of a functioning adult has a negative impact on their ability to access education, health, housing and meaningful employment.
